12Dtwelvedimensions.co sets a small number of first-party cookies of its own — see section 1. Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a 12D Score request is coming from a real visitor rather than a bot, sets its own cookies while doing that check. No analytics cookies, advertising cookies or session recording are used.
1. The cookies we set
- td_consent — records whether you chose "Necessary only" or "Accept" so the banner does not reappear. First-party, set by 12D. Duration 12 months.
- td_score_unlock — set once you verify an email address to see the full breakdown behind a score, so your browser stays unlocked for that site without verifying again. First-party, set by 12D. Duration 30 days, or until you clear cookies.
2. Cloudflare Turnstile (bot check)
The 12D Score form, on this site, uses Cloudflare Turnstile to confirm a scoring request is coming from a real visitor rather than an automated bot. Turnstile runs invisibly and only ever shows you a challenge if it can't otherwise tell — most visitors never see one. While it runs, Cloudflare sets its own cookies (and may use local storage) on their domain, not this one; their exact names and duration aren't controlled here. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. This is necessary for the service to function (stopping automated abuse of a free tool) and runs regardless of your cookie-banner choice, the same way it would for any site using standard bot protection.
3. Analytics without cookies
Cloudflare Web Analytics is used to see aggregate traffic. It does not set cookies, does not fingerprint devices and does not collect personal data, so it does not require consent under UK GDPR or PECR.
4. Third-party sites
When you follow a link to ico.org.uk, paddle.net, or a site scored by the tool, those sites set their own cookies under their own policies. We are not responsible for them.
5. What we do not use
- No Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel or LinkedIn Insight Tag
- No advertising or retargeting cookies
- No session-recording tools
- No embedded social widgets that track you
6. Changing your choice
Clear cookies for twelvedimensions.co in your browser and the banner will show again on your next visit. Blocking the consent cookie itself only means the banner reappears; nothing else on the site (including Turnstile) depends on it.
